Title: BUY - things we could use!
Post by: Louis L on January 13, 2017, 04:11:54 PM
Carpeting - similar to that on the field. Need not be identical. The official carpet is Shaw Floors, Philadelphia Commercial, Neyland II 20, 30352, "Scotch Pine".
Need enough to test autonomous to the farthest two LIFT pegs. This puts it out at about 16 feet (or more).

Motor Controllers - need 8 for the drivetrain alone (4 for wheels, 4 for steering). Need another 8 for the practice bot. Talon SRX.

I/O expansion port for Talon SRX - used to hook up PID and limit switch connections. AndyMark has an all-purpose model. CTR-Electronics has models just for digital I/O or Analog I/O.

RoboRIO - we need a 4th unit (one on bot, one on practice bot, one on last year's bot and one for testbed).

Power Connector for RoboRIO - for roboRIO.

Shooter wheel for Fuel - do we need some of those new wheels that AM sells?

PG27 gearmotor for intake - need 2 for the intake and feed rollers

VRM for control system (x 2)

1/2 inch bearing - for climber. Needs to be sturdy.

1/2 inch keyed shaft - for climber

IMU - something more reliable than the crappy gyro we've had before

Re: carpet

Has anyone solicited any of the Westborough carpet stores?  Can talk about at an upcoming meeting; maybe do on Saturday?

Wes - I figure we need a roll that's at least 16 ft long so we can go from the driver station wall to the far side of the airship. Must be very low pile.
