Dan and I have begun to crunch down the kinds of questions and information that the scouting forms are going to ask the scouts. Please suggest! Here is a list of the general items we have come up with:
BASICS
team number (pre list - check the textbox input) (we are going to scout ourselves)
match number
did they show up?
AUTO
rotor
robot performance (can handle / did it work successfully)
pilot performance
score: y/n?
shooting
can shoot?
how many make / miss (separate inputs)
moving
cross baseline?
TELEOP
where does it act + hangout more (or what is their strategy)
pop up map (reference)
drop menu - gears, shooting, defense
shooting
can they shoot (high/low goal)
how many shots scored (estimate to best possibility) exclusively high goal
[idea for fire rate: slow/med/fast]
accuracy
gears
robot performance (can handle?)
pilot performance (did they even have a pilot playing) [good / bad / na]
gears placed: attempts / makes (separate inputs)
rotors spinning (as a group)
climbing
attempt / successful
how fast
OVERALL EVALUATION
did they break down?
overall score?
did the team get foul points (to see overall trend)
yellow / red cards? (individual)
maneuverability / rate the driver

Are you sure we need climbing attempts AND successful attempts? Doesn't it make more sense to just have a checkbox if climbing is successful? The reason I say this is because climbing is only in the endgame so it doesn't really matter how many times the robot tries to climb in a single match; what matters more is its success rate overall. What do you think?
Vanshika, good point, sorry if that wasn't clear, it was meant to be climbing success/fail.
We updated the form content. Here's the new form idea:
BASICS
team number (pre list) [we are going to scout ourselves]
match number
did they show up? (submits the form as not present)
AUTO
rotor
robot performance (can handle / did it work successfully) gear slot 1 2 or 3
pilot performance
score: y/n?
shooting
can shoot? (high low)
how many? (make / miss ratio)
moving
cross baseline?
TELEOP
where does it act + hangout more (or what is their strategy)
pop up map
drop menu - gears, shooting, defense
shooting
can they shoot (high/low goal)
how many shots scored (estimate to best possibility) exclusively high goal (RANGE of numebers)
[idea for fire rate: slow/med/fast]
accuracy (% based)
rotor
robot performance (can handle?)
pilot performance (did they even have a pilot playing) [good / bad / na] ---how do we know
ratio between gears attempted : gears scored (if drop gear, new attempt)
rotors spinning (as a group)
climbing
attempt / successful
how fast
does the robot stay tehre when teh power goes out
does it slide down with power out?
did they get the points (which one got the points)
OVERALL EVALUATION
did they break down?
overall score?
did the alliance get foul points (see overall trend)
yellow / red cards? (individual)
maneuverability / rate the driver
COMMENT SECTION
filter words (last priority) probably not a good idea
look for keywords
PRESCOUT
camera(s)?
can yo handle gears
can you pick up balls/ gears off the ground
can the robot carry a banana 🙂 (trick question)
turning questions
easily blocked? can they shoot in multiple directions
what time in auto do they shoot
Prescouting needed a more specific list of items, so here it is. Feel free to comment any suggestions!
