This is a list of things we need - for whatever reason. This is not about the robot or competition. It's about stuff the team needs. For example we just bought safety glasses to replace the old ones, for BSB, and for our growing roster. Reply with items and I will edit the OP to include new items. HDMI cables of various lengths. We used to have a bunch but the cable monster ate them. (seem to have found most of them)Micro-USB cable. The cable monster is very hungry. (12/17) Bought 2 cables; in cabinet with other cables.(11/8/17) Backup Driver Station laptop. Our Asus driver station still works well but it's taken a beating. The backups used to be the Panasonic Toughbooks but their ethernet got roasted. Let's get a low end laptop as a backup. It can also double for some other non-critical use like running Arcadia, something in the Pit, or even for scouting. (11/28/17) We can just use one of the dev laptops - they all have the full software installed.(11/8/17) Scouting laptop. We need something with a decent battery to perform scouting data collection and analysis. Since this will only be used during competitions, we probably don't want to have a dedicated system; it can be shared with other uses. CPU, storage and memory requirements are not large but it does need to have a long battery life so it can be used in the viewing stands effectively. (11/28/17) we'll use the old Asus laptop used for scouting sw dev.(11/8/17) Arcadia laptop. We're looking at using the old Panasonic Toughbook (which were about to be retired). This will be plugged and CPU needs are low. The only unknown is how much storage is needed to run a database for the kiosk functionality. (11/19/17) Using Panasonic Toughbook for Arcadia now.(11/20/17 ebay) Asus Laptop (Driver station) power supply/charger. Can't find it right now and we seem to misplace it often. (11/28/17) ordered 2 after-market units from eBay.(11/20/17) Lexan of different thickness. 1/16 and 1/8 likely most useful.(11/20/17) Light for vision illumination. The rings we have are pretty beat up. Should try to fix them too. (12/17) Got 2 more ring lights from FIRST Choice.
