Things we learned and other useful info / Unit test before assembly

When possible, test a component by itself before assembly.

Sometimes we get duds. Better to check out each component and know that it's good before assembly then to have to do debug later (not to mention having to swap out bad parts is often a pain).

It's much, much easier to file rough & sharp edges before assembly. This should be obvious but it's often ignored. Also filing creates lots of dust and doing so after assembly risks getting the dust in sensitive electrical components or places where it can't be easily removed.

Buttons changed:

       
  • Nothing - Start button on controller
  • Nothing - Right stick on controller
  • Move arm to switch - X Button on controller
  • Move arm to exchange - A Button on controller
  • Fix Stuck Cube - Left Trigger:  This was modified to toggle which side of the intake had the slower wheel speed
Buttons added (these may need to be modified):

       
  • Raise intake - button 8 on the left joystick
  • Intake cube - button 9 on the left joystick
  • Move claw to level - button 10 on the left joystick
  • Close intake - button 11 on the left joystick
