• Detailed design w/ math worked out - arm length, tower height, motor + sprocket placements, bracing placements

  • Towers - 1x2 alum (1/8th in)tubing
    
    
    • cut to length (38 in)
    • drill 3/4 in holes for 1/2 in axle (arms rotate upon)
    • attach bushings
  
  
  • Arms - 1x2 1/8th in. alum tubing
    
    
    • cut to length (39 in)
    • drill 3/4 in. holes for 1/2 axle
    • attach bushings
    • attach drawer slides w 12 in. throw
  
  
  • Axle
    
    
    • attach sprockets + chain in center (lift arm)
    
    
    • 2 in sprocket (1/2 in. hex shaft)
    • 6 in. sprocket
    • #35 chain
    • attach arms + tower
    • attach necessary spacers
  
  
  • Bracings
    
    
    • cut + mount center vertical bracing up entire height of towers
    • cut + mount horizontal plate for motor (halfway up tower)
    
    
    • motor - mini cim w/ 64:1 sport gear box
    • determine triangle supports for side of towers

Progress depends on getting the specific parts we need - sprockets, chain, drawer slides, etc. Sarah has been working on the claw design, but won't be able to come in until Friday - if no progress can be done for the arm/towers (bc we haven't gotten certain parts), will be working on finalizing the claw design + or helping build chassis.
